Welcome
Battle of the Bands 2026 will complete with the Finals at the The Rose Theatre, located in Kingston upon Thames. The Rose is a premier South West London venue that opened in 2008, known for its 900-seat, Elizabethan-style circular design. It offers a diverse mix of classic drama, musicals, comedy, and family-friendly shows, while serving as a community hub for education and, as of early 2026, hosting high-profile productions with acclaimed actors.
Judging Criteria
Bands perform three songs: An original, a cover of their own choosing and an original or cover of their choice
Bands are scored on the following:
Technical/Musical Proficiency - 30 Points
Performance/Audience Engagement - 30 Points
Preparation/Act Construction - 20 Points
Creativity/Originality - 20 Points

THE BADGERS
The band has been gigging 2 years and have played at many Basement Door gigs including Fusebox, Mazda stage, Dubs at the Park and with many other youth band providers such as
JOM and Ampfarm.
Junior Category Winners 2025 BEVERAGE OF THE WISE
The band started in early 2023. They have performed for a Youth Awards event, an RNLI charity fundraiser & Youth Fair for a second year in 2024 and most recently at Rocktober Fest. They are now focusing on
creating their own original songs.
