The Basement Door Team
Kev Westbury
Managing Director
Kev is a founding member of The Basement Door since 2008, and loves to see young people develop and make positive changes in their lives. He has a degree in Youth work and became the Manager of the organisation in 2018. Kev wants to see The Basement Door gain national recognition. In his spare time, Kev likes working on old cars and motorbikes and he supports Liverpool FC (no comments please).
Natalie Jackson
Chair of Trustees
Natalie has been a member of The Basement Door community since 2018, when her own children started performing and she saw the incredible experience and opportunity the charity was offering young people. She has a background in advertising, marketing and performance as a dancer. With her passion for education and supporting young people to achieve their goals, she is excited to lead the board.
Nick Leon
Trustee
Nick has been collaborating with The Basement Door since 2019 inviting bands to perform on stage at the annual St Margarets Fair and as a judge at Battle of the Band competitions. Nick works in marketing and communications, produces corporate films and independent documentaries. He is on a never ending quest to discover Funk and Soul and Brazilian and Latin beats. He lives with his wife, two noisy teenagers and a laid back Rhodesian ridgeback.
Pippy Trentham
Trustee
Pippy is a big fan of music - both listening to it and creating it. She became a trustee having seen what the charity does to give a platform to young people who want to play and volunteer, her own daughter performing at The Basement Door in one of the 2022 Battle of the Bands-winning groups. Pippy also owns and runs a travel logistics business that, among other things, puts on music tours for schools.
Ken McMahon
Trustee
Ken was introduced to the charity recently and wanted to help The Basement Door make a positive change supporting young talent to achieve their goals in the music industry. He has been a senior manager at several big film studios and now serves as an independent consultant. In his spare time you'll find him searching for vinyl to add to his eclectic record collection, having foolishly given most of it away in the 90's.
He is delighted to be part of the team of Trustees.
Louise Nagle
Trustee
Louise has been coming to Basement Door gigs since her Daughter joined in 2019. It has been her pleasure to spend the last few years as a music teacher across Hounslow, introducing children who has often never heard them before to the joys of Queen, Bob Marley, Jerry Lee and Foo Fighters. She previously had far less enjoyable jobs working as a senior manager and consultant for Local Authorities and private companies.
